La Fondita in Amagansett is serving new brunch specials on Saturdays and Sundays between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Items on the takeout menu include chilaquiles — tortillas sauteed with salsa verde, a fried egg, cheese, and crema, served with rice and refried beans — and a breakfast burrito filled with eggs sauteed with peppers, onions, tomatoes, rice, and black beans.
Wine Specials
Select bottles of wine are discounted by 30 percent on Thursday nights at the Living Room restaurant at c/o the Maidstone inn in East Hampton. The wines were selected by Chris Miller, the restaurant’s wine director, and range from a $36 bottle of Finger Lakes Riesling to a $150 bottle of Vieux Chateau Gachet.
Artists and Writers Night
Tuesday will bring another Artists and Writers Night at Almond in Bridgehampton, this one featuring Cynthia Hopkins, a performance artist-in-residence at the Watermill Center in Water Mill. She was a recipient of a 2010 Guggenheim Fellowship.
The evening will begin at 7 p.m. and include a three-course meal served family-style along with a glass of local wine or craft beer. The cost is $40 in advance or $45 at the door.
Pigskin Saturdays
Saturdays during college football season are Pigskin Saturdays at Townline BBQ in Sagaponack, when a pig will be smoked and served in time for a noon kickoff. The pig, raised on an upstate farm, will be served by the half-pound portion, with potato bread and barbecue sauce, or with tortillas and avocado salsa, along with a choice of two side dishes, for $16. Adding a can of Porkslap Beer will make the cost $19.
Mondays at Fresh
Another day of the week has been renamed by a local restaurant — this time it’s Manly Mondays at Fresh in Bridgehampton, when from 8 to 10 p.m. at the bar the TV will be tuned to the football game and a dinner special featuring a grass-fed beef burger or a grilled veggie burger will be served with a glass of house wine or a Blue Point draft beer for $10 plus tax and gratuity.
Nick and Toni’s News
A new menu of small bites to eat, called cicchetti in Italian, is available at Nick and Toni’s in East Hampton Wednesday through Monday, in the dining room or at the bar. The dishes range from $5 to $12 and include crispy chickpeas, house-cured duck prosciutto with caramelized pearl onion, fried cauliflower, grilled lamb, oil-poached swordfish, and fried foie gras ravioli with truffle oil.
A daily $21 special lineup at Nick and Toni’s features pan-roasted chicken on Sunday, any pasta entree on Monday, fish of the day on Wednesday, and a Milanese dish of the day on Thursday. The restaurant is closed on Tuesday.
About the Holidays
Stuart’s Seafood in Amagansett will be closed for Thanksgiving. The seafood shop is taking Hanukkah orders for its homemade latkes and applesauce.
The Harbor Grill in East Hampton is taking reservations for holiday parties to be held in its private dining rooms. A three-course menu, with complimentary hors d’oeuvres, is available for $30 per person, plus tax and tip. The rooms — one that holds up to 35 guests, and the other accommodating up to 65 — can be booked for lunch and dinner.
Those who purchase gift certificates for the grill will receive an extra $10 certificate for every $50 gift they purchase, which can be combined into the gift or kept as a special bonus for oneself.
The Cuddy
The Cuddy in Sag Harbor has switched to winter hours, serving dinner from 5 to 9:30 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, and until 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. On the weekends, Saturday brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. is followed by dinner at 5, and on Sunday brunch and then dinner is served from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Specials at the Cuddy — an entree with a beverage for $20 from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday through Friday — are chicken and waffles on Monday, mussels in red or white wine sauce on Tuesday, pork loin on Wednesday, roasted chicken on Thursday, and gnocchi on Friday. Two-for-one mimosas are served with Sunday brunch.
