Planning Ahead
If Christmas Eve dinner plans call for an evening out, one might already be thinking about the many options of where to go. At the 1770 House in East Hampton, Michael Rozzi, the chef, will add some holiday dishes to the restaurant’s a la carte menu. They include appetizers such as spicy Montauk fluke tartare, wild mushroom soup, and a salad of shaved Brussels sprouts and roasted cauliflower or beet, fennel, and apple. Entrees include marinated Atlantic swordfish, roasted Scottish salmon, duck breast, and Berkshire pork filet. New to the dessert menu are an iron skillet apple crisp and chocolate brioche bread pudding.
At the Manor
La Fine, an Italian restaurant at the Montauk Manor, will be open on weekends throughout the winter, and offers dining in a fireside lounge. There are also specialty cocktails and nightly chef’s specials. Dinner is served on Friday and Saturday nights, and on Saturdays and Sundays breakfast and lunch are also served, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
