The Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill will hold its Midsummer Party on Saturday. The festivities will begin with cocktails at 6:30, followed by dinner on the museum’s terrace at 7:30. An after-10 party with dancing and dessert will run until 1 a.m. Dinner tickets, which usually sell out in advance of the event, start at $1,500. After-10 tickets are $225.

Next Thursday at noon, in celebration of the 375th anniversary of Southampton, Alicia Longwell, the museum’s chief curator, will give the first of two talks on the history of the East End as seen through the lens of the permanent collection. Tickets are $10, free for members, students, and children.
