The Parrish Road Show, the museum’s off-site series of summer exhibitions, will present “Permanent Transience,” an installation by Toni Ross, at Marders in Bridgehampton from Saturday through Sept. 5. Ms. Ross will be at the site on Sunday at 11 a.m. to discuss her work.

“Permanent Transience” consists of sculpted straw bales that intersect and envelop three massive boulders on the site. Combinations of diverse objects and materials, especially those that defy logic, have long intrigued Ms. Ross.

The museum has announced opportunities to meet the other artists from its current special exhibitions. Bastienne Schmidt, whose Road Show installation is on view at the Sag Harbor Whaling and Historical Museum through Wednesday, will be at the whaling museum today from 5 to 6 p.m. to talk about her work. Both Ms. Ross’s and Ms. Schmidt’s talks are free, but reservations are required.

On Friday at 6 p.m., Ross Bleckner, Eric Fischl, and David Salle will take part in a discussion moderated by Terrie Sultan, the Parrish’s director, about their current exhibition, ”Unfinished Business.” A book signing will follow. Tickets are $10, free for members and students.
