Telluride Mountainfilm's Short Docs at Southampton Arts Center
Selections of short documentaries from Telluride Mountainfilm, one of the United States’ longest-running film festivals, will be presented Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7:30 at the Southampton Arts Center. Held every Memorial Day weekend since 1979 in Telluride, Colo., the festival is dedicated to films that deal with issues of social and cultural importance.
Mountainfilm on Tour presents selections from the festival year round at venues around the world. Tickets to each program, which will be introduced by a festival staff member, are $10 in advance, $12 at the door, and $10 for students and senior citizens. A filmmakers’ reception will take place Saturday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The price of the reception is $75 in advance, $100 at the door, and includes admission to Saturday’s screening. Program schedules can be found on the center’s website.
