Word has reached The Star that Walter C. Loris, a retired East Hampton Town police officer and Amagansett resident, died on Sunday. A graveside service will be held on Monday at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in East Hampton at 11 a.m. An obituary will appear in a future edition.
