The pianist and singer-songwriter Judy Carmichael will touch down with her trio at the Bay Street Theater in her hometown of Sag Harbor on Saturday at 8 p.m. for an evening of music from the 1930s and '40s, "Let's Swing!" The show includes Ms. Carmichael's own compositions as well as works by Cole Porter, Frank Loesser, George Gershwin, and Duke Ellington.

Ms. Carmichael is one of the world's leading interpreters of stride piano, a style that arose from ragtime players such as Fats Waller, Mary Lou Williams, and James P. Johnson. Indeed, Count Basie nicknamed her "Stride" because of her command of the difficult jazz piano style.

She has produced and hosted "Judy Carmichael's Jazz Inspired" for 22 years on NPR stations and podcasts, and has written two books on stride piano, and a memoir, "Swinger! A Jazz Girl's Adventures From Hollywood to Harlem."

Tickets start at $39.99.
