You won't see a fireplace onstage, but the heat will be turned up when Fireside Sessions With Nancy Atlas returns to Sag Harbor's Bay Street Theater for its ninth year. There will be four concerts, beginning on Saturday at 8 p.m.

The inaugural program, "Americana, Blues, and Rock," features Ms. Atlas with Telly Karoussos and Brad Penuel of Hopefully Forgiven, and Josh LeClerc, Pedal Steel, and Johnny Blood.

"I like to have different vibes each week," said Ms. Atlas during a telephone conversation, "which is part of the reason I think the series has been so successful. You're never coming and seeing the same show."

"Soul Review," with a touch of R&B, will happen on Jan. 14, when Ms. Atlas will be joined by Danny Kean and his band. "He's the gold standard," she said. "He has played more Fireside Sessions than probably any other guest. Not only does he sing like an angel, but he also plays keyboards and guitar."

"Jam Night," set for Jan. 21, promises appearances by "local favorites and a special guest or three." Ms. Atlas declined to name names, but offered that "it's going to be a fun night. I've always treated these shows like a holiday present. A lot of times people don't know the guests, or even who the guest is, but once you put the spotlight on them, they're world-class musicians."

The sessions will conclude on Jan. 28 with "Rockabilly Rock Night," when Ms. Atlas will be joined by Gene Casey on lead vocals, Ed Chrysler on bass, Mr. Blood on lead guitar, and a backing band.

"I think it's an honor to play for people," said Ms. Atlas, "so I always try to give them an experience that sends them out the door in a better place than when they came in. It's going to be wonderful to just come together and make some music in the dead of winter."

Tickets start at $35.
