Meditative Sound
Daniel Lauter, a classically trained musician, was one of the first in the United States to explore the experimental composition and transformational qualities of crystal bowls. He has since developed an extensive palette of innovative sounds that have been used in yoga studios and music venues.

Mr. Lauter will bring his Sound Bath Lounge to The Church in Sag Harbor on Saturday from noon to 1:30. Guests have been encouraged to bring yoga mats or cushions to lie on while experiencing the immersive sound vibrations. Other activities can be pursued during the program, including sketching, writing, even texting.

The event is open to ages 7 and up; children 12 and under should be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are $25, $15 for students, free for the children.

Gladstone to LTV
Josh Gladstone, the former and longtime artistic director of Guild Hall, has joined LTV Studios in Wainscott as an associate producer. His duties include producing performing arts programs and community events.

"We are thrilled to have Josh at LTV," said Michael Clark, the executive director. "His experience in the business and in the community takes us to another level."

Vocal Auditions
The Choral Society of the Hamptons will hold auditions for new singers on Jan. 30 and Feb. 6 at the Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church. Interested vocalists have been invited to attend a rehearsal as a guest before auditioning.

A registration form for auditioners can be found on the choral society's website. More information is available by email to [email protected].

Jake Lear in Sag
The music series at the Masonic Temple in Sag Harbor will present a performance by Jake Lear on Saturday at 8 p.m. Raised on the music of John Lee Hooker, Jimi Hendrix, and Howlin' Wolf, Mr. Lear is dedicated to the blues. Elmore magazine called his album "Lost Time Blues" "the perfect marriage of 'Highway 61 Revisited' and 'Texas Flood.' "

Tickets are $20.

The temple also hosts the Jam Session's live jazz programs on Tuesday evenings at 7. The suggested donation is $15.
