The fourth annual Holiday Makers Market will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Church in Sag Harbor, with something for everyone including a pop-up print exhibition, book signings, and a community singalong.

Arts and crafts of the East End, curated by Susan Nieland, are the heart of the market. Georgia Nile and Abigail Vogel will show their artwork, Kenna Mackay her glasswork. Textile vendors include Marcia Bayard, James Cheung, Patrick McDonough, Stephanie Pinerio, and Gerri Tobias. Rebekah Harris, Tohanash Tarrant, and Ms. Nieland will bring their jewelry designs to the fair.

Home goods will come from Hidden Gem and Tanya Willock and Temidra Willock, woodwork from Harbor Woodworks, and ceramics from Beverly Granger. Clothing vendors include Johanna Cabrera, Judy D'Mello, Leslie Lennox, Maryszka Osaki, and Cora Diaz. Taylor Barton will provide the music.

The pop-up print show, also open both days from 11 to 5, will feature the work of local artists who have participated in The Church's monthly monotype printmaking workshops. Featured artists include Stephen Doyle, Laurie Hall, Setha Low, Kerry Sharkey-Miller, Gael Towey, John Wittenberg, Almond Zigmund, and others. Prints range in price from $75 to $800.

Book signings will take place on both days in The Church's studio level. April Gornik, its co-founder, will sign from 1 to 1:30, Lee Skolnick, its architect, from 2 to 2:30, Susan Wood, an acclaimed photographer, from 2:30 to 3, and Eric Fischl, the venue's other co-founder, from 3 to 3:30.

The holiday singalong will happen in The Church's parking lot both Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 2. It will be led by Lola Lama, a recent N.Y.U. graduate with a degree in musical theater, and Sheri Pasquarella, the venue's executive director. The singalong is free for all.

Tickets to the Makers Market are $5 at the door each day, free for children 12 and under. Both the pop-up print exhibition and the book signing are $5, but free with the Makers Market entry fee.

The Sweet Smell of Nostalgia at Sagaponack General

Stepping into the new Sagaponack General Store, which reopened yesterday after being closed since 2020, is a sweet experience, and not just because there’s a soft-serve ice cream station on the left and what promises to be the biggest penny candy selection on the South Fork on your right, but because it’s like seeing an old friend who, after some struggle, made it big. Really, really big.
