Awards Galore

Blumenfeld + Fleming, an advertising, marketing, and design firm in Montauk, has won seven platinum and nine gold awards in the international Hermes Creative Awards competition. 

The platinum awards were for print and radio spots the firm did for Stony Brook Southampton Hospital’s electrophysiology lab, a video promoting the Phillips Family Cancer Center, an outdoor billboard for Hanover Bank, a pro bono poster for the East Hampton Food Pantry, an ad campaign for the South Fork Peak Savers program, and public relations for the Adam Miller Group, a law firm. 

The gold awards were for a print ad for the East Hampton Chamber of Commerce, a BMW of Southampton magazine ad, a newspaper ad and in-bank video for Hanover Bank, South Fork Peak Savers print and radio ads, and public and media relations for LaGuardia Design and Landscape Details.

The firm’s founders and partners are Jill Fleming and Lynn Blumenfeld.

New Montauk Bike Shop

Chris Briand of Montauk, a former employee at the Montauk Bike Shop, which closed in late December, is opening the Montauk Cycle Company tomorrow at 463A West Lake Drive, next door to the Market Montauk. The shop will be open seven days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will have bikes, biking accessories, and a repair shop.

Balsam Is Back

Balsam Farms Market at 662 Montauk Highway will reopen today for the 2019 season, and will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The shop will offer fresh roasted organic coffee from Java Nation, Bambino’s ravioli, Carissa’s croissants, Laurel’s Nut Butters, d’Artagnan meat products, truffle oils, and fresh, locally grown produce.
