Project Most in Person
For 3 and 4-year-olds, Project Most is offering a scented play-dough activity on Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and a vegetable stamp-painting class on Nov. 21 at the same time. Older children can take part in a STEM build-a-car challenge, constructing a toy car out of everyday objects, on Saturday from noon to 1 p.m. The following Saturday there will be more hands-on activities as the class explores the science of starches.
Kids in fourth through sixth grades have options, too. There's a building-block workshop on Saturday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and a painting class on Nov. 21 during those same hours.
Project Most's classes are held at the East Hampton Neighborhood House at 92 Three Mile Harbor Road and are outdoors whenever the weather allows. The cost is $20, or $15 for members. Registration is by emailing [email protected] or by calling 631-655-4586.
Art With Your Family
ARTivity is Guild Hall's new collaboration with the Children's Museum of the East End. In it, families can explore Guild Hall's gallery together in person with a digital guide that will help kids learn and talk about the artwork. The program begins on Saturday and runs through Dec. 27. The museum is open on weekends from noon to 5 p.m. More information is at guildhall.org.
At the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, the next family art workshop will be on Sunday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The theme is landscapes. The program costs $15 for adults, or $5 for adult members, and $5 for children. Sign-up is at parrishart.org.
Fall Fun
Today from 4 to 5 p.m. at the East Hampton Library, children ages 3 and up can make garlands out of autumn leaves. Parents must accompany children under 7. For teens, kits to make gratitude journals -- just in time for Thanksgiving -- will be available for pickup tomorrow between 3 and 5 p.m. Supplies are limited, so advance registration for this and other programs is required.
For high school students, there will be a virtual career exploration workshop on Saturday at 11 a.m. It will address how to line up your own interests with possible careers and offer tips for creating resumes and applying for jobs.
Makeup for Performers
Robert Kohnken, a Sag Harbor native who performs as the drag queen Naomi, will teach an online makeup course for kids and adults ages 13 and up on Dec. 1 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Registration far in advance is necessary so the students can receive their makeup kits in time. More information is online at southforkperformingarts.com.
