I-Tri Reaches $200k Goal

Wed, 11/18/2020 - 16:43

I-Tri, an East Hampton nonprofit, met its goal last month of raising $200,000 over 11 days for its programs fostering positive body image, empowerment, and healthy lifestyle choices for adolescent girls. The fund-raising effort culminated in a live online Give-a-Thon streamed from a board member's house that included conversations with Theresa Roden, I-Tri's founder and chief visionary officer, and such guests as Kathleen King, founder of Tate's Bakeshop, the Olympians Katie Zaferes and Dara Torres, and J. Andreassi from Gabby's Inspiration Foundation.

The money raised will be used to continue I-Tri's programming and expand it to as many as 300 girls across Long Island. Next year, I-Tri will be in 13 school districts and also offer virtual programming, all of it free to participants. Information for prospective participants and donors can be found online at itrigirls.org.
