Bingo and Trivia
Today from 4 to 4:45 p.m., children ages 7 to 11 can take part in a virtual Bingo game with a Fourth of July theme courtesy of the John Jermain Memorial Library in Sag Harbor. A printable or clickable Bingo card is available for download after registration, which can be done through the event listing at johnjermain.org.
Also from John Jermain is a weekly teen trivia night on Fridays from 5 to 6, with different themes each week. The contest is for those entering grades six through 12.
On Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays throughout July, the library is offering a new language-learning program called Muzzy for kids of all ages — preschool through high school. Sessions are from 4 to 5 p.m., and a library card is required to sign up.
There's No Place Like Home
Hamptons Film will show the classic movie "The Wizard of Oz," drive-in style, at the Hayground School in Bridgehampton on Monday at sunset, the first of many films for a wide range of audiences this summer. Tickets are $50 per car, and more information and reservations are online at hamptonsfilmfest.org/hamptonsfilm-drive-in.
Story Time and Circle Time
The Amagansett Library is hosting a live story time session, Read Around Amagansett, on Zoom on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. There's also circle time for babies and toddlers, live on Instagram, at 10 a.m. on Fridays. More information is online at amagansettlibrary.org and at @amagansettlibrary on Instagram.
That's Funny!
It's been said that laughter is the best medicine, and during these difficult times it could be just what the doctor ordered. Virtual comedy classes from the N.Y. Hysterical Society and the Southampton Cultural Center are for ages 10 to 16, beginning with a free stand-up comedy workshop on July 11 at 11 a.m. Other classes are $35 each or $295 for all 10 sessions. Registration is at metropolitanzoom.com/scc.
