Homecoming Is Coming Up

Thu, 10/07/2021 - 11:34

School spirit will be on display next week at East Hampton High School, where Spirit Week festivities begin on Tuesday.

Tuesday is Twin Day and Wednesday is Class Colors Day, when seniors wear yellow, juniors wear red, sophomores wear green, and freshmen wear blue. Next Thursday is Pajama Day, and Friday, Oct. 15, is Bonac Pride Day, when students will show up in school colors, maroon and gray. There will be a pep rally that day at 1:41 p.m. and a dance from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Both will be outdoors.

On Saturday the 16th, the annual Hall of Fame breakfast and ceremony will start at 8:30 a.m., followed by the big Homecoming festival from noon to 5 p.m., featuring games, food trucks, and other vendors. There will be a bonfire at 6:30 and a varsity football game against Port Jefferson under the lights at 7:30. Various sports teams will play games throughout the day.

On the last day of Spirit Week, Oct. 17, runners should check in at 9:30 a.m. and line up at 10 for a "color run." They will race through blasts of non-toxic colored powder, in an event that will benefit the freshman class. C.S.
