Golden Eagle Once More
Youth art classes have officially returned at the Golden Eagle art supply store in East Hampton after a pandemic-related hiatus. Snap School, a cellphone photography workshop for kids ages 12 and up, runs Saturday mornings in May starting May 8 via Zoom and continues in June in person in the store's art barn. The cost is $295.
The Golden Eagle will also run summer art camps weekly from June 28 through Sept. 3 for ages 6 to 12. Single-day sessions are $125, and the cost is $600 for a full week. All classes and camps are limited to 10 students.
A Perfect Pairing
Guild Hall and the East Hampton Library are once again teaming up for monthly children's story time and craft sessions. On Monday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., kids ages 3 and up can take part with a caregiver. The event is free, though donations have been suggested.
Also from the library is a do-it-yourself Mother's Day craft workshop on Wednesday from 4 to 5 p.m. It's ideal for kids ages 8 to 11, and materials can be picked up ahead of time at the library so participants can follow along on Zoom.
Next Thursday at 4 p.m., for kids in prekindergarten up to third grade, there will be an online story time with Natalie Rompella, the author of "The World Never Sleeps," meant to help children better understand the world of insects. Sign-up is online at easthamptonlibrary.org.
Pocket-Size Poems
"Simply carry around a poem" to share the joy of poetry, says the Montauk Library, which will have verses for kids and adults alike available for in-person pickup next Thursday, which is National Poem in Your Pocket Day.
The Clubhouse Is Back
The Clubhouse in East Hampton recently reopened for families to enjoy mini golf, bowling, food, and arcade games Thursdays through Sundays during the spring. Lanes, tables, and other activities can be reserved ahead of time at clubhousehamptons.com.
