Ways to Say Thanks

With Thanksgiving just a few weeks away, local libraries are encouraging teens to express gratitude.

This weekend’s take-and-make project at the East Hampton Library asks high school students to answer the question “What am I thankful for?” on notecards that will then be displayed in the young-adult room. Kits can be reserved ahead of time and picked up between 3 and 5 p.m. Participants will get community service credit; details are at easthamptonlibrary.org.

At the Amagansett Library, students in grades seven through 12 can make personalized gratitude journals next Thursday at 4 p.m. Registration ahead of time is required with Kimberly Parry, the teen librarian, at 631-267-3810.
