East Hampton Library's Children's Fair moves to Herrick Park this year
Durell Godfrey

Family Festival Season

The East Hampton Library’s annual children’s fair will take place Sunday at Herrick Park from 2 to 5:30 p.m. to help kids “discover the treasure of reading,” the library says on its website.

The free event will feature a book fair with children’s authors signing books, plus carnival rides and games, food, performances, and literary-theme crafts. There will also be raffles and community groups providing information about local resources for families.

Looking ahead to the following Sunday, Aug. 21, the Parrish Art Museum’s annual family party will run from 3 to 6 p.m. This one has an admission cost: $100 per child and $125 per adult, or for museum members, $75 per child and $100 per adult. There will be a National Circus Project performance, interactive art activities, games, and food and ice cream. More information can be found online at parrishart.org.
