It's Nutcracker Season

It's time for a trip to the Land of Sweets. The dancers of the Hampton Ballet Theatre School, ranging from tiny tots in tights to pre-professional ballerinas on pointe, will take the stage at Southampton High School once again for their annual production of "The Nutcracker."

Now in its 14th year, the show returns with Tchaikovsky's enchanting score, Sara Jo Strickland's classical choreography, and charming costumes by Yuka Silvera and Kate McManus. Advanced students dance the roles of the Snow Queen, Sugar Plum Fairy, Dew Drop, and Arabian Princess, with professional guest artists as partners.

Show times are tomorrow and Saturday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 1, and Sunday at 2. Tickets start at $25 in advance, plus an online ticket fee, with a special $15 ticket rate for students at the door when seats are available. The website for tickets and additional information is hamptonballettheatreschool.com.
