Playtime Possibilities

For toddlers and their caregivers, several opportunities exist for group play in fun and educational settings nearly every day of the week.

At the East Hampton Library, a program for kids up to 3 years old called Bubbles-n-Books takes place in half-hour sessions on Mondays at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Advance sign-up is required.

The Amagansett Library offers drop-in playtime for kids 6 months to 3 years old on Tuesday mornings from 10:30 to 11:15. Through a partnership with Amber Waves Farm, a singalong with small percussion instruments takes place on Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. for children 6 to 18 months.

The John Jermain Memorial Library in Sag Harbor offers a similar weekly drop-in playdate on Thursday mornings from 10 to 11. At the Hampton Library, toddler play sessions featuring music, nursery rhymes, stories, and more take place starting at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday through Friday.

On Fridays, the Montauk Library is the place to be for Stay and Play, featuring educational toys for children up to 5 years old.
