Parrish for Teens and Families

The next session of the Arts and Eats program for teens happens tomorrow afternoon from 2:45 to 4:30 at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill. Kids in grades nine through 12 can connect with friends, enjoy free pizza, and take in the museum’s offerings. The program is free, but advance sign-up is required at parrishart.org.

Also at the museum, families have been invited to a free open studio day on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The projects will be based on current exhibitions.

Fun With Project Most

Kids 3 to 5 years old can learn how to sort and categorize mixed materials based on color, size, and shape during a Project Most sensory workshop on Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon. Caregivers are invited, but not required, to stay for the duration.

The fun continues from noon to 1 p.m., when children 4 to 12 can make a color-wheel collage using a supply of mixed-media materials.

Project Most’s Sewing Club also meets on Saturday. The project, taught from 1 to 2:30 p.m., is a zippered cloth bag for coins or small treasures, appropriate for kids 7 to 12.

Andy Piver of the Dragon Wagon returns Monday for another trucker-hat workshop, at which students in grades five through eight can make designs using heat-press technology. The class encourages kids to “make a statement and wear it.”

Admission is $25 per student for each of these programs, which take place at the Most Holy Trinity School on Meadow Way in East Hampton. Registration is online at projectmost.org.

Science at SoFo

Ever wonder how birds are able to fly? What about airplanes? The science behind flying will be the focus of a class at the South Fork Natural History Museum in Bridgehampton on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., in which kids 9 and up, as well as adults, can build paper gliders that follow these rules of flight. Admission is $10 for kids, $15 for adults, and free for SoFo members. Registration ahead of time is required.

Escape From Oogie Boogie

The East Hampton Library will be transformed into a villain’s holiday lair tomorrow night, challenging middle and high school students to find a way out of an escape room with a “Nightmare Before Christmas” theme. The fun happens in 40-minute sessions between 5 and 7:30 p.m. for which advance registration is required.

Also at the library, “The Wizard of Oz” will be screened on Saturday starting at 2 p.m.

Seasonal trivia for teens will take place on Monday from 4 to 5 p.m. On Tuesday, holiday treats will be the focus of a taste-test challenge in the young adult room from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. From 3:30 to 6:30 on Wednesday, teens can drop in to decorate gingerbread houses using sugary goodies.
