Meditative Art Classes for Kids

Whisker and Brush, an art school in Amagansett founded by Pia Leighton, has a new session of classes for kids starting on Monday. Ms. Leighton, who is originally from Chile, is a mother of two kids, an expert on Tibetan art, and an artist herself. She describes her approach as “meditative,” helping kids stay grounded and focused as they explore various mediums and techniques.

Ms. Leighton’s Monday Art Club is for children 6 and up, the Wednesday Art Club is for kids 4 and up, and Thursday’s is for kids 7 and up. All sessions take place from 4 to 5 p.m. The cost is $229 per four-week session, and all art supplies are included.

The website for more information is whiskerandbrush.com.
