Have you ever juggled many different activities at one time? At Springs School the cast of the musical “Alice in Wonderland Jr.” has been feeling the pressure of managing play rehearsals, schoolwork, and attending school clubs they like to take part in.

Some of the lead cast members shared their techniques for managing the stress. Gabriela Alvarado, who plays the bossy Queen of Hearts in the musical, said “I make a plan to do my schoolwork after my clubs, and I carve out a half an hour to an hour to do things I enjoy at home, because it is important to have a break.”

Another cast member, Rafaela DeMartis, who plays the inquisitive Alice in the musical, said, “I try to do as much of my work in school as I can, and I always make sure to find a time when I am at home to do my homework and study.” Adrie Quinn, who has the role of the tardy White Rabbit in the musical, said, “I try to get as much homework done during any break I have or during my lunchtime. I also usually do my homework as soon as I get home. Then I eat dinner, take a shower, and if I have extra homework, I’ll do it after.”

Many middle school students juggle all kinds of extracurricular activities, inside and outside of school, and while it’s easy to go down the rabbit hole of frustration, these tips from the “Alice” cast might make your schedule more of a wonderland.
