Cooper, a certified therapy dog who usually visits hospitals and rehab centers, made his debut at the Hayground School in Bridgehampton last week with his owner, Eric Weston. The golden-doodle was an immediate hit and will be back.

"Cooper had four homes before he and Eric found each other. The students loved him, although one of the three year olds (Vivi) may have been disappointed because she had been sharing that a dog doctor (who could talk) was coming to visit," said Julie Fanelli-Denny, a Hayground teacher. "She thought he was bringing a nurse and everything."
