Pond Cleanup Saturday

Bundle up and grab a bucket: The East Hampton Library is hosting a cleanup at Georgica Pond from 10 to 11:30 on Saturday morning, to help teens understand “how plastic gets into the ocean and Georgica Pond and the harm it does to our local wildlife and us.”

Teens can earn an hour and a half of community service toward their high school graduation requirements. The library will provide buckets.

Participants should dress warmly and park on Beach Lane in Wainscott to check in with a library staff member. A light lunch will be provided at the end of the cleanup. Advance sign-up is required, and can be done via the library’s event calendar.
