April With Project Most

Spring is definitely springing, if Project Most’s explosion of new after-school and weekend programs for kids is any indication. In store for this month at Project Most’s temporary headquarters in the Most Holy Trinity School building in East Hampton are workshops on photo collage, sewing, magnetic planters, robotics, and stop-motion animation, and an escape room challenge.

The collage workshop for children 8 to 12 is free, courtesy of the Anna Mirabai Lytton Foundation, and will be taught by Linda K. Alpern, a Sag Harbor artist, on Mondays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. starting this week and continuing through May 20, except on April 22. A one-time $25 fee covers materials for all six classes.

A Cubelets robotics Bluetooth challenge for ages 5 to 12 will be offered on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. and costs $25, with future sessions on April 27, June 1, and June 22.

On April 13, kids 7 to 12 can test their mettle in escape room and puzzle challenges from noon to 1 p.m. The challenge happens again on April 27, May 11, May 25, and June 8 and 22. The cost is $25 per session. Also on April 13, a sewing club from 2 to 3:30 will have kids 7 to 13 making their own beach ponchos. On April 20 from noon to 1 p.m. it’ll be polymer clay magnet vessels for air plants for ages 3 to 12, plus a window star craft for ages 8 to 14 at 1 p.m. These, too, cost $25.

A four-week stop-motion animation workshop will begin on April 29. In this one, taught by Jacqueline Gravina-Wohlleb, students 5 to 14 will make their own short movies over four sessions, each meeting on Mondays at 3:35 p.m. The cost for all four is $25.

Registration is through Project Most’s website.
