Just for Tweens in Montauk
The Montauk Library will cut the ribbon Saturday on its new tween room, a space devoted to the needs of students in fifth through eighth grades.
From noon to 2 p.m., students and their families can drop in and see the room. Light snacks will be available, and there will be a caricaturist drawing portraits from 1 to 2 p.m.
Kids can stop by the tween room whenever the library is open to enjoy middle-grade books and magazines, games, and art supplies. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday and Friday from 9 to 8, and Sunday from 1 to 6.
