Parrish Museum Welcomes Families

Sunday’s a big day for families at the Parrish Art Museum, where the theme is Savor the Summer. Admission will be free and activities will be plentiful from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Guided gallery tours, film screenings, and art workshops both indoors and outdoors are included. Take some quarters from your piggy bank at home to try out the Mini Print Vending Machine, which for just $1 provides customers with a print from a surprise artist. There will be a talk and interactive element from the Fallen Fruit project, a collaborative effort involving public art installations and food tastings.

At 1 p.m. there will be a bilingual tour in Spanish and English, and at 1:30 there will be a screening of the 42-minute documentary “Secrets of Spain.” The Stardust Jazz Trio rounds out the afternoon with live music starting at 2:30.

Refreshments will be available for purchase from the museum cafe and multiple food trucks. Advance sign-up is not required; families can simply drop in to join the fun. The museum is at 279 Montauk Highway in Water Mill.
