Children 7 to 12 who like to sew can make a fleece pillow in a class on Saturday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The cost is $25. Registration for all programs is through the website.
Hot Cocoa, Snacks, More
If this week’s cold snap has kids thinking about hot cocoa and snacks, then they may want to plan a visit to the East Hampton Library or the Hampton Library in Bridgehampton, where both will be on the menu.
In East Hampton, for high schoolers there will be free hot chocolate and board games after school tomorrow until 5, and hot cocoa will again be served on Friday, Jan. 31, at 3:30, when the library shows episodes of “Goosebumps.”
For kids in sixth grade and up, Tuesday is International Snack Night at the Hampton Library, with samples of snacks from around the world to taste and rate starting at 4. A similar session happens at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, at the East Hampton Library and will include some trivia about the snacks’ countries of origin. Free snacks of the usual sort will be served during a Nintendo Switch gaming session for ages 11 to 14 tomorrow at 3:30 in East Hampton.
Also in East Hampton, there will be supplies for high school students to make their own puzzles on Monday at 3:30 p.m. and to make paper fortune cookies on Wednesday at 3:30. Wednesday also brings a “craftapalooza” session for ages 3 to 10 at 4 p.m. A winter snowflake tree project is on the schedule for ages 3 to 6 next Thursday at 4 p.m.
Back at the Hampton Library, there will be a STEAM activity for ages 3 to 4 on Wednesday at 3 p.m. and a Chinese New Year craft for ages 5 to 7 on Friday, Jan. 31, at 3:30.
Registration is required for all programs.
