“Moana” Sing-Along

The Children’s Museum of the East End in Bridgehampton will have a “Moana” movie night and sing-along for ages 2 to 8 on Monday from 5:30 to 7:30. There will be crafts and pizza, and children have been encouraged to go in their pajamas. The program will take place in the museum’s indoor play gym. Tickets cost $10 for members and $15 for everyone else. Advance registration is suggested, as space is limited.

Salamander Search

Provided it has rained enough (and that’s in the forecast as of midweek this week), Andy Sabin, a salamander expert and the South Fork Natural History Museum’s president, will lead families on a nighttime search for the endangered eastern tiger salamander on Saturday at 7:30. Participants will look for salamanders as the creatures head to the pond to mate and lay eggs. Boots and flashlights are recommended. The cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children, but museum members can attend for free.

Next week, while school is out, SoFo educators will lead three free walks behind the museum in Bridgehampton. On Monday, walkers will learn the answer to the question, Where do insects go in winter? A scavenger hunt is planned for Wednesday, and on Friday, Feb. 21, the theme will be winter bingo. Walks begin at 10:30 a.m.

Registration ahead of time is required for all SoFo programs.
