The Parrish Art Museum’s 2025 Student Exhibition, with artwork by about a thousand students ranging in age from prekindergarten through high school, will open on Saturday in Water Mill.

Many of the works in this year’s exhibition were projects done with Andrea Cote, a visiting artist, and drew inspiration from Ms. Cote’s 2024 Parrish Road Show, “To Belong to the World,” at Bridge Gardens. There, she created site-specific pieces that “incorporated garden plant life and explored her body’s connection to nature’s cycles,” according to the museum. Students tried out her techniques, “including cyanotype and printmaking, incorporating themes of the human body and our interconnectedness with nature.” The ARTscope Teen Council curated the show.

Saturday’s opening day will include a gallery preview from 11 a.m. to noon, a preview for young artists up to eighth grade from noon to 2, and a reception for high school artists from 2 to 4. Admission is free.

“Our goal is to provide young artists and their families with the time and space to showcase their work and celebrate the joy of creating,” Casey Meyer, the museum’s senior education programs manager, said in a release. The show will be on view through April 27.
