What does attention deficit hyperactivity disorder look like in children? How can I tell if my child’s anxiety is serious enough to need intervention? As a parent or guardian, how can I best support my child?
These are among the questions to be addressed at the Children’s Museum of the East End in Bridgehampton on Friday, Aug. 15, during a panel talk featuring three pediatric specialists. According to a CMEE announcement, the panel will focus on anxiety, A.D.H.D., and moods, but evaluation and treatment will also be discussed.
Taking part will be Jaeah Chung of the Mount Sinai hospital system’s developmental pediatrics program, Claire Dunphy, an assistant professor in the department of pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and Rachel Neuhut, a psychiatrist affiliated with the University of Miami.
The talk runs from 10:30 a.m. to noon. For a question-and-answer session, CMEE has asked that questions be sent ahead of time to [email protected]. More information and registration can be found at cmee.org.
