Delivery From Mecox Bay

Mecox Bay Dairy farm in Bridgehampton will begin delivering its eggs, cheeses, and meats between Montauk and Southampton starting tomorrow. A dozen eggs costs $10, and three artisanal cheeses -- English cheddar, Sigit, and tomme -- are available by the pound for $28 or half-pound for $14. The meats offered by the pound include ground beef for $8, hickory-smoked bacon for $10, sausages for $8, and pork ribs for $10. Two large pork chops cost $12. A selection of farmer's boxes is also available. A box containing more than 10 pounds of hamburger patties and hot dogs is $100 and includes a bottle of seasoning. A box of fine cuts of beef and pork is $120, one with hamburger patties and cheddar cheese is $75, and one for bakers that includes five containers of rendered pork lard and six eggs is $35. Orders must be placed by noon on Wednesdays for delivery on Fridays. Delivery is free for orders over $100 with the coupon code "moo." The full menu is at mecoxdirect.com.

Takeout and More Takeout

In an effort to encourage residents to support local restaurants, delis, and takeout spots during the pandemic, East Hampton Town has posted on its website, ehamptonny.gov, a list of eateries and food stores in the town, East Hampton Village, and Sag Harbor that are offering takeout. The list also includes phone numbers, and website addresses. Owners of local eateries offering takeout who wish to be included on the list have been asked to contact Councilwoman Kathee Burke-Gonzalez at [email protected] or 631-324-3187.

Armin and Judy in Bridgehampton has reopened its bakery and is offering items such as baguettes, croissants, cookies, and focaccia for weekend pickup. Orders should be placed in advance by visiting the restaurant's website, and can be picked up Friday through Sunday between 8 and 11 a.m. 

Breadzilla in Wainscott will reopen today and operate on its usual schedule, Tuesday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Orders can be placed by telephone.  

L and W Market in Bridgehampton has started offering a special halal cart-style menu on Saturdays. A $60 dinner that serves two or three includes items such as chicken and lamb shawarma kebabs, yellow rice and peas, and Moroccan spiced carrots with pomegranate molasses. The food has sold out this week, but orders for next week can be placed by visiting the restaurant's website. Orders must be picked up next door at Almond on Saturday between 5 and 6 p.m.

Mother's Day to Go

The 1770 House in East Hampton is offering a special two-course prix fixe Mother's Day brunch to go for $45 per person from noon to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. The menu features entrees such as lump crab cakes with French green beans and radish slaw, and roasted chicken breast with mushroom risotto and rosemary jus. The restaurant's regular dinner menu will be available for takeout on Sunday between 4:30 and 8. Orders are by calling the restaurant. 

Fresno in East Hampton is offering a la carte dinner specials for curbside pickup on Sunday. The menu includes fluke ceviche for $18, grilled rack of lamb for $45, and crispy Thai salmon cakes for $28. Orders can be placed by email or by calling the restaurant after 3 p.m. Items must be picked up between 5 and 7:30. 

Lulu Kitchen and Bar in Sag Harbor has a special $225 three-course Mother's Day dinner that feeds three to four people and includes a bottle of sparkling rosé. Customers can choose either a whole snapper, skirt steak, or roasted chicken entree, and side dishes include mashed potatoes, kale, and ratatouille. Orders are by calling the restaurant. 

Nick and Toni's in East Hampton is offering a limited number of family-style dinners of salad, lasagna, and focaccia for $140. The meal serves four people and includes a bottle of red wine or prosecco. Orders are by calling the restaurant by 2 p.m. on Sunday. The dinners must be picked up by 4 p.m. 

Gosman's Fish Market in Montauk is offering a dinner special of four one-and-a-half-pound cooked and cracked lobsters with drawn butter and lemon for $125 on Saturday and Sunday. Orders must be placed by 3 p.m. the day prior. The market is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
