Wine and Dine
Bedell Cellars in Cutchogue will host a cottage winemaker dinner on Jan. 14. A four-course menu will be paired with wines selected by the vineyard's winemaker, Richard Harbich.
Courses will include an amuse of beef carpaccio with Bedell's sparkling rose, a summer roll second course with fluke and its Melon de Bourgogne, a Muscadet-style wine; a wild mushroom veloute with its Gallery 2020, a blend of whites only made during the finest vintages; coq au vin is the third course, served with a pre-release cabernet franc, and the dessert course is a grilled pear with gorgonzola dolce custard and served with Bedell's 2010 Musee wine, a blend of cabernet, merlot, and petit verdot.
The dinner, prepared by Grace & Grit Events, will be served from 6 to 8 p.m. and costs $150 per person, not including tax and tip. Tickets are on the winery's website.

Cookery News
The Cookery in East Hampton has announced plans to add its sandwiches to its GrubHub deliveries, along with its soups, flatbreads, muffins, cookies, and frittatas. It is also continuing its dinner pickup service and expanding that to GrubHub as well. Be on the lookout for Valentine's Day-inspired romantic meals and desserts.
Get your fill of its prepared foods until Feb. 19, when the proprietors take a break through March 17 for vacation and a slight renovation. Upon reopening, the pre-ordered dinner service will continue, as will wine tastings and meals in the bakery. While it is open, the Cookery will continue to participate in the East End Food Institute's winter farmers market in Riverhead.
