Shark Bar
Fans with fond memories of the Bailey’s Banana Colada at Cyril’s Fish House on the Napeague stretch will be happy to know that Jeremy Blutstein, the executive chef at Mavericks Montauk, has opened Shark Bar at the former Cyril’s Fish House spot on Napeague. You won’t need a GPS to find it; just look for a shoulder lined with cars.
Described on its website as a “sandy, beachside surf shack with a fresh take on flip-flop friendly fare and contemporary takes on tiki classics,” Shark Bar is open Thursday through Monday from noon to 9 p.m.

Northern European Wines
Wine classes at Park Place Wines and Liquors will pivot from the spirits of Mexico to the wines of Germany, Austria, and Alsace next Thursday at 6 p.m. The wines from those northern regions are delicious but often overlooked or misunderstood, says the shop. Expect rieslings, gewurztraminers, and more.
Wines will be paired with snacks provided by the Cookery in East Hampton. Tickets are $45 and nonrefundable. Ticket buyers unable to attend have been asked to notify the shop so they can offer the spot to someone else.

Almond Restaurant and Bar in Bridgehampton will shift its “world-famous” karaoke night to Thursdays. Starting at 9:30, patrons can choose their favorite songs to belt out or croon. D.J. Carlos Lama is the host, and Karaoke Thursdays will run until midnight.
