Winter Reading Challenge for Young Adults

Tue, 12/28/2021 - 09:44

The East Hampton Library is encouraging high school students to take on its 2022 winter challenge, which runs from Jan. 3 to Feb. 19.

For the challenge, participants will track the books they have read, post book reviews in the form of original artwork, and attend Y.A. programs at the library. Those who complete the challenge will be entered to win prizes.

Sign-up is required, and can be done by visiting the library's event calendar or the link in its Instagram bio, @ya_easthamptonlibrary. Once a participant has registered, they can log in to the library's Beanstack site, at this link, to be able to take part.

Questions can be directed to the YA librarians at 631-324-0222, extension 5, or [email protected].

The library is also planning to unveil a new mural painted by East Hampton High School students for the YA room on the lower level. The big reveal will be Thursday, Jan. 6, at 3 p.m.
