Local students will shine onstage this weekend in Sag Harbor, with the Pierson High School Drama Club putting on the musical “The Lightning Thief” at the high school and the dancers of Studio 3 taking the stage at Bay Street Theater for “The Enchanted Forest.”

“The Lightning Thief” features 15 multitalented actors portraying 40 roles. The musical follows the story of Percy Jackson, a 12-year-old who learns he’s a demigod and must find Zeus’s missing lightning bolt before it’s too late. Bethany Dellapolla, the Pierson musical director, says it has “a killer pop-rock score” and “is a family-friendly, action-packed, coming-of-age story with a lot of heart and a positive message.”

Shows are tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday at 7, with an additional show at 2 on Saturday. Tickets cost $5 and can be reserved ahead of time by emailing [email protected].

“The Enchanted Forest” includes ballet, tap, hip-hop, and lyrical routines to showcase the students’ dance skills. Showtimes are tomorrow at 7 p.m., Saturday at 4 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m. Tickets cost $30 and are available at the door.
