Even More Thanksgiving Options From the Pike and Old Stove

Some of the Thanksgiving offerings from the Pike, which can be ordered through Tuesday for pick up on Thursday morning.
The Pike

The Pike food truck at the Corwith Farmstand in Water Mill has a Thanksgiving menu of appetizers, soups, entrees, side dishes, and desserts. Appetizers offered by the dozen include pigs in a blanket for $14.50, barbecue pulled pork quesadillas for $18.95, and curried tuna cakes with mango salsa for $12.50. The entrees offered by the pound include citrus glazed ham for $14.99, herbed-rubbed turkey for $16.99, blackened sea bass for $17.99, and Cajun roasted pork tenderloin for $22.99. Among the side dishes are mashed potatoes, sweet potato puree, and bread stuffing for $10.99 per pound each, and baked macaroni and cheese for $14.99 per pound. The desserts include pumpkin or sweet potato pie for $18, apple pie for $22, and pecan pie for $26. A full menu is available on the Pike's Instagram account. Orders must be placed by Tuesday for pickup on Thursday at 10 a.m.  

The Old Stove Pub in Sagaponack is offering a three-course prix-fixe Thanksgiving dinner for $39.95 per person from 1 to 5 p.m. on Thursday. The appetizers are either butternut squash soup or salad, and the entrees are either roasted turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy or herb-marinated salmon with grilled asparagus. The side dishes include roasted vegetables, stuffing, green bean casserole, and cranberry sauce. For dessert, there is a choice of either apple or pumpkin pie.

Rowdy Hall (the House) Is on a Roll

Long before the name “Rowdy Hall” was adopted by a popular East Hampton Village bar and eatery (now in Amagansett), it was a boarding house: Mrs. Harry Hamlin’s Rowdy Hall. The building, now a single-family house, still stands at 111 Egypt Lane, although currently it’s floating, suspended six feet above a hole. When it’s lowered again, it will be on a new foundation.

Spiro Stavropoulos opened the Candy Kitchen on May 2, 1925. Thus, the year 2025 marks a whole century in business for the restaurant, owned since 1981 by Gus Laggis and managed day to day by his daughters, Jamie Laggis and Maria Laggis Lima, and son-in-law, Mauricio Lima.
