Complimentary valet parking at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital is among many conveniences on hiatus during Covid-19, and Brett Pickett, president of the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, took note of the difficulty posed by valeting as a potential way to caddie around a virus.

No stranger to convenience on a golf course, he came up with a safe solution, and the hospital recently announced a new arrival on its campus: a spiffy, six-seater golf cart (caddie not included) donated by Mr. Pickett on behalf of the club.

The hospital said in an announcement that it will be used to shuttle patients, caretakers, and visitors to and from designated parking areas "in style," without the risk of sitting in an enclosed space or touching door handles.
