When the Bridgehampton winery Channing Daughters got inspired to work with what they had “at home” in the cellar, the outcome was a celebration of exceptional taste on the East End, in wine and in art.

For the 2019 Heart Artist Series, “we asked a dozen local artists that are connected to us and the winery to create special artwork for this wine inspired by ‘heart,' ” reads the label on the white table wine with aromas of tree, stone, citrus, and tropical fruits.

In these trying times, Channing Daughters wanted to “send love and heart out into our world,” celebrating “our wine club, our community, and our earth,” and bottling it all with the 2019 vintage Heart.

The artists who created labels for the 608 cases of wine are Adam Baranello, Philippe Cheng, Mindy Dubin, Jameson Ellis, Marilee Foster, Daniel Gonzales, Lindsay Morris, Jill Musnicki, Ann Fristoe Stewart, Bill Stewart, James Christopher Tracy, and Almond Zigmund. The labels are a divergent series of interpretations of ‘Heart,’ with a good dose of good will and appreciation for the East End in common.
