New Springs Brewery Cans — Get 'Em While They Last

Thu, 10/28/2021 - 11:28

The up-and-coming Springs Brewery is planning to release its two newest brews this weekend.

On Saturday at the Springs General Store, cans will be available starting at 9 a.m. Grab them early, because the brewery been selling out of its inventory lately. And on Sunday, the brewery will do a pop-up at a Halloween party at Best Pizza and Dive Bar on Napeague starting at 1 p.m.

The two new beers include Tautog, a 5-percent black lager with aromatic notes of coffee and chocolate and a crisp, clean finish. "One of our favorite styles, and we think you will soon be a believer!" wrote Lindsay Reichart and Gunnar Burke, founders of the brewery.

The other is Green River, an 8.4-percent double IPA, which is a "beefed-up version" of another one of its previously released beers, Green Spot. It's got a "huge dose of oats and a big, double-dry hop" that has sticky notes of honey, candied orange, and "a subtle dank-pine backbone."
