The Montauk Library will hold a budget hearing in person on Monday at 6 p.m. to offer information on its 2021-22 spending plan. The $1.75 million proposal represents a $682,235 increase over the current fiscal plan. The large majority of that increase, $577,875, is a debt payment on the ongoing renovation and expansion project, approved by voters in 2019.

Also on Monday, voter registration will take place between 2 and 6 p.m.

Barbara Grimes is running unopposed for one seat on the library board. The vote is on April 6 from 2 to 8 p.m. More information can be found in the library's latest newsletter, online at bit.ly/2PjLqXE.
