Starting on Friday, East Hampton Village will provide a free morning and afternoon shuttle between the longterm and Reutershan parking lots for those who work in the commercial district. The shuttle, which will operate daily, will take a direct route through Herrick Park.
The village has hired Circuit, the company that also provides free transportation to the beach, to provide the service between 8 and 10 a.m. and between 5 and 6:30 p.m.
A reliable cellphone signal is no longer a convenience but a necessity, and during summer months residents say it’s nearly impossible to access service in some areas because of increased strain on networks.
Caitlin Virginia Fasano and Dallas Aden Bennett remembered their July 23 wedding as “the event of the century, full of love and joy and cookies and drinks.”
Yom Kippur will be observed with services in East Hampton and Sag Harbor beginning on Sunday evening.
