East Hampton Town Announces Property Auction

Dry suits, Jet Skis, computer equipment, a beach rake, a set of aluminum bleachers, and several cars and trucks in varying conditions, all declared surplus property by East Hampton Town, are among 56 items being auctioned by the town.

Bids are accepted through March 13, and payment for all property is due by March 16 at 1 p.m. Pickup of auction items must be completed by March 21 at 2 p.m. The website to view photos and bid on items is AARauctions.com.

The auction site states that all items are sold "as is." Cash, wire transfers, bank checks, and money orders are accepted as payment.

The Vibrio vulnificus “flesh eating” bacterium “is not unusual in warm saltwater or brackish environments and does not necessarily indicate pollution or a widespread public health emergency,” the Southampton Town Trustees said in an advisory issued following a social media post that went viral.
