Concerned Citizens of Montauk has announced a contest called Balloons for Beach Bags, in which people are encouraged to pick up balloon trash, photograph it, and share it with C.C.O.M. Photos can be sent in by tagging or direct-messaging the group on social media or by sending an email to [email protected].

The contest runs through Feb. 29. "Whoever finds the most balloons will win a C.C.O.M. beach bag filled with some merch and other cool prizes," the organization said in an announcement. "Be sure to throw the balloon in the trash or it doesn't count."
