Fireworks, Films, and Music in East Hampton

Fri, 08/15/2025 - 11:40
Fireworks are set for Saturday night at Main Beach, Sunday if it rains.
Lee Bertrand

The East Hampton Fire Department’s annual fireworks display will light up the sky over Main Beach on Saturday night about 8:30. In case of rain, the show will be postponed to Sunday.

There are a few more weeks to catch the free live music at Main Beach and only one more chance to take in an outdoor movie at Herrick Park.

Hot Lava will be the band at Tuesday’s free Main Beach concert. The music starts at 6 p.m., and parking is free beginning at 5. The band on Aug. 26 will be the Cherry Bombs, whose members include The Star’s own Christopher Walsh.

On Wednesday at dark, HamptonsFilm will screen the final free outdoor movie of the season in Herrick Park. This time it’s the wildly popular “Barbie,” from 2023, directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. Prime seating areas can be reserved through a donation to the nonprofit at hamptonsfilmfest.org.
