The East Hampton/Bridgehampton football team earned a trip to the Suffolk County Division III playoffs last Thursday with a 35-0 win over Rocky Point and will face Islip on Friday night.
Lane Closure on Shinnecock Canal Bridge May Last a Week
Erosion following heavy rain led to the closure of both westbound lanes of Sunrise Highway in the vicinity of the Shinnecock Canal late Friday morning. Westbound traffic over the bridge is restricted to the left roadside shoulder only, causing extremely long delays for travelers.
