May 6, 1961 - Nov. 14, 2019

Maurice Richard Blowe, who grew up in East Hampton and attended East Hampton High School, died at home in Phoenix on Nov. 14. He had been ill for about 15 years with various ailments, his family said.

Mr. Blowe was born on May 6, 1961, at Southampton Hospital, one of four children of Bernett Richard Blowe, known to his family as Baby Blowe, and Blanche Williams Blowe of North Carolina, who survives. Mr. Blowe’s father died before him.

He and Susan Bromley married in 1979, and about 20 years ago he moved to Phoenix to be closer to her and their two children. While in East Hampton he was a driver for Suffolk Cement.

Mr. Blowe’s family said that he used to play the drums and always enjoyed listening to music.

His children, Clarice Blowe and Zachary Blowe of Phoenix, survive, as do six grandchildren, six nephews and one niece, and many cousins who are spread all over, his family said.

Mr. Blowe was cremated. The family did not have a funeral.
