Zachary Cohen, a Springs resident who had long been active in the community, died last Thursday at the Kanas Center for Hospice Care in Quiogue. He was 72. A gathering to celebrate his life is planned for Oct. 24 at Duck Creek Farm in Springs. Details will be included in an obituary scheduled for next week.
The East Hampton Historical Society broke ground on a climate-controlled collections-storage center at the Mulford Farm last Thursday. It will unite the historical society’s 20,000 archival items — now stored at five separate sites — under one roof.
