Lisa Ann O’Sullivan of East Hampton died on Dec. 30 at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. The cause was chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She was 69.
Ms. O’Sullivan “loved to play bingo with her mom and friends,” her family wrote. “They traveled all over the Island looking for a good game.” She was a collector of owl figurines, large and small, and enjoyed crocheting, coloring in works of art, and quilting.
She was born on April 24, 1952, in Southampton to Sidney M. Field and the former Laverne Collum. She grew up on Long Lane in East Hampton and graduated from East Hampton High School. She worked as a waitress, and her nieces fondly remember working with her at an Amagansett restaurant when they were teenagers.
She and her husband, George O’Sullivan, were separated at the time of her death. He survives.
Ms. O’Sullivan is also survived by her brother, James Field, and his wife, Joan Field, of Springs, two nieces, Teresa Soma and Debra Steckowski, both of Georgia, two nephews, Troy Field and Chris Field, both of East Hampton, and her domestic partner, Gus Papas, also of East Hampton.
Ms. O’Sullivan was cremated. A memorial gathering will take place at a later date.
